CD plays best on windows xp.

Windows Vista: You need to run your windows vista in “compatible mode”.  Right click the setup application or executable (*.exe) and, from the context menu that will pop-up, select Properties. Choose the Compatibility tab, check the box in the Compatibility area next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and then select windows xp.                                

Great news for MAC users! The CD will work on a MAC if you install windows xp and VM 1.1.1 from www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
